14 de July de 2026

The Jacobs Foundation announced today (9/16) the three winners of the Klaus J. Jacobs Best Practices Prizes 2024, an international award that recognizes best practices in education. Labedu was recognized for its ability to work to implement evidence-based solutions to improve children’s development and learning in practice.

In addition to Labedu, the following were also recognized: Fundación Escuela Nueva, which works to promote active, cooperative, participatory, and child-centered learning in Colombia; and Imagine Worldwide, which operates in Sub-Saharan Africa, offering learning enabled by accessible, affordable, and effective technology.

For Beatriz Cardoso, Labedu’s director, it is a great honor to be recognized by the Jacobs Foundation. “This award further strengthens our commitment to advocating for equal opportunities so that all children can reach their full learning potential.”

In July, the Jacobs Foundation announced the list of ten finalists, and in November it will hold the awards ceremony with the three winners.
