Basta bater o ingrediente escolhido como corante com um pouco \u00e1gua no liquidificador e depois coar a mistura com um pano, utilizando o caldo como tinta. Alguns tipos de plantas s\u00e3o especialmente boas como corante: o espinafre, a beterraba, a casca da cenoura, da jabuticaba ou do rabanete, o repolho roxo, a couve, o a\u00e7afr\u00e3o, a borra de caf\u00e9, entre outras.
