Last Christmas Eve, Laboratório de Educação president Beatriz Cardoso granted an interview to the daily CBN news program to discuss the educational impact of consumerism during the holiday season.
Cardoso problematized the excessive importance families often place on gifts as material belongings as opposed to meaningful gestures. She also offered practical suggestions on how to introduce opportunities for children to learn about responsible consumption.
