On December 3-5, the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences from the National University of La Plata (UNLP) organized the 8th UNLP Sociology Conference. Paula Stella and Alexsandro Santos presented the qualitative study on the implementation of the National Pact for Literacy at the Right Age, conducted by Laboratório de Educação in four municipal school districts of São Paulo state.
Throughout the event, scholars and researchers from various Latin American countries participated in more than 40 discussion groups. Stella and Santos contributed to the one on “Political Sociology of Education: Education Policy and Management”, together with representatives from Argentina, Mexico and Chile.
