If you are a professional in Early Childhood Education or someone who is passionate about the subject, you already know the importance of daily reading for children, right? Scientific literature in the area and the experience of teachers and families have demonstrated for decades how reading to a child is essential for them to develop language skills from early childhood. And this development, in turn, will be decisive for them to be able to learn many more things throughout their lives, both inside and outside of school.
Therefore, we invite you to reflect: do the children around you have the opportunity to read a book every day?
We know that children love to repeat their favorite stories, so you don't need a huge collection of books to ensure that they read daily. You need to set aside time in your routine, whether at school or at home, and an adult who is interested in reading.
So, how about we start March with this goal of a book every day for children?
With just 20 minutes a day, you can reach the end of the month with more than 10 hours of reading! Imagine how much vocabulary can be learned, and how bonds can be strengthened! Around here, we have a strong hunch that you'll want to repeat this goal in April, May, June...
To inspire you, we have prepared a list of book suggestions for children aged zero to five.
Happy reading!
