During the pandemic, who is caring for those who educate?
With children at home all day, some people’s work migrating into their homes, and domestic and personal demands giving no rest, family routines underwent major changes. Adults were flooded with information and felt responsible for taking on a new role: that of teacher.
The Caring for Those Who Educate campaign was launched with the aim of helping adults with tips and reflections to make interactions with children richer, understanding that their role is not to replace the teacher. On the contrary, we propose taking advantage of this time to enhance children’s development through everyday situations in which conversation and attentive listening can have a more lasting effect than an excess of activities and novelties.
In total, 19 videos were published on our Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
The campaign inspired and gave space to the videos of the Learning Project: Inside and Outside School, carried out in partnership with the Maranhão State Department of Education, UNDIME Maranhão, and with support from Eneva.
