On May 14-17, Laboratório de Educação Project Manager Angélica Sepúlveda presented research on instructional materials and literacy-centered practices at the National University of Colombia’s Educational Research Institute.
Sepúlveda emphasized the need to further investigate the use of literary practices in developing early reading and writing skills. Based on evidence from the study, she argued that literacy teachers should reflect on the quality of the discourse they construct around written texts.
