Next semester, the coordinator of Laboratório de Educação’s “All Children Can Learn” project will teach a graduate course on the relationship between images and text in children’s literature, with a special focus on picture books and their role in early literacy development. Upon completion of the course, her students will be able to analyze and plan effective interventions using books in this up-and-coming genre.
The course is part of the Vera Cruz Institute’s Books, Children and Youth graduate degree, and there will be spaces available for members of the public to audit the lectures.
