On April 17, Executive Director of Laboratório de Educação was a guest speaker in the first Latin America Learns conference: “Building Participation and Civic Engagement for the 21st Century”, organized by student leaders at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
The event brought together policymakers, educators, innovators and researchers to participate in a dialog surrounding the role of education in fostering the social cohesion required to propel the region, its individual nations, and its people to their full potential.
Cardoso was joined by the President of Fundación Televisa, the former Minister of Education in Colombia and the Chief of the Education Division at the Inter-American Development Bank for a discussion on the future of teaching in Latin America.
