The last edition of the Federal University of Pelotas’ Cadernos de Educação featured a paper from “Learning to Study” coordinator Angélica Sepúlveda. With supervision from professor Ana Teberosky and collaboration from Andrea Guida Bisognin and Nicole Paulet Piedra, the study analyzed the use of linguistic and graphic resources in the most widely distributed textbooks from the 2013 edition of the National Textbook Program (PNLD).
The research findings served to enhance the guidelines for planning activities that introduce students to text-based study (reading aloud, discussing vocabulary, and articulating content understanding).
