Laboratório de Educação presents results from Learning Language to Harvard researchers and practitioners

From October 1-3, Laboratório de Educação President Beatriz Cardoso attended the annual meeting of the Professional Learning Network to Advance Early Education Reform (ProLeer) at Harvard University.

Cardoso presented Learning Language during a panel moderated by Harvard Professor Paola Uccelli. In addition to describing Laboratório’s conceptual framework, objectives and implementation methodology, Cardoso also discussed the results of the professional development intervention conducted over the past year in the cities of Caieiras and Praia Grande (both located in the state of São Paulo), monitored using questionnaires, interviews and direct observation instruments.

Later that week, Cardoso was joined by Nicole Paulet Piedra to discuss Laboratório de Educação’s vision for teacher professional development in Brazil with master’s students from the International Education Policy program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
