On the CBN radio program on modern parenting, Revista Responde, Beatriz Cardoso highlighted the importance of early exposure to quality books for language development. While young children may not yet be able to read independently, they can expand their vocabulary and advance in their understanding of language's many uses.
Cardoso described how Laboratório's new Reading Corner platform (Espaço de Leitura) reflects technology's potential to enhance how children experience books. Developed in partnership with the University of Barcelona, Reading Corner introduces children to multiple ways of reading: by themselves, listening to someone read aloud to them while they look at the pages or watching someone enrich the story with gestures and intonation.
