After a rigorous selection process, Beatriz Cardoso, Executive Director of Laboratório de Educação, was selected to join the Ashoka Social Entrepreneurship Network as a Senior Fellow in recognition of her commitment, vision and the solutions proposed to tackle some of society's most pressing challenges. Cardoso, who has dedicated the past 30 years to promoting sustainable improvements in Brazilian public education, is now an active member of one of the largest global associations of innovative social entrepreneurs, with programs in over 60 countries.
Throughout the month of October, Cardoso and the 2014 Ashoka Fellows participated in a series of orientation activities, through which they got to know each other, discover the potential for collaboration and celebrate the network's growth in Brazil.
