Andréa Luize, “All Children Can Learn” project coordinator and and director of graduate studies at the Vera Cruz Institute, was featured in a Nova Escola magazine article entitled “Literacy: Behind the Debate” that addresses key arguments regarding effective practices for teaching literacy.
Luize commented on the relationship between spoken and written language, and used a constructivist approach to argue that children’s “deeper understanding of writing makes them increasingly aware of this connection.”
