About Us

Founded in 2012 by educators Beatriz Cardoso and Andrea Guida Bisognin, the Education Laboratory develops methodologies grounded in academic research so that all children can reach their learning potential. We implement and monitor projects with public education network professionals, families, and the community.

OUR CAUSE

Every child can learn. Every adult educates.

We are convinced that learning is a continuous process that permeates every moment of children’s lives, which leads us to invest in the adults who live with them. We develop proposals that respond to the learning needs of different age groups. We stand out in the Brazilian education landscape by helping adults mediate children’s interactions with the world, in order to expand their cognitive and intellectual universe.

The Education Laboratory’s content is grounded in academic research and also serves as a starting point for producing new knowledge in areas related to our work. We recognize that each context and territory requires specific adaptations. To that end, we have built and adopted a flexible implementation model for our training methodologies that strengthens the autonomy of local actors and ensures ongoing dialogue with the realities of the territories, driving the development of those who understand local dynamics.

In this way, we collaborate in creating contexts that offer children opportunities to develop based on meaningful learning inside and outside school. Children learn all the time and everywhere. That is why we champion the cause: Every Child Can Learn. And if every child can learn, we believe every adult has the responsibility to educate!

Governance

Labedu’s management is led by an Executive Board and two Technical Boards with three-year terms, a structure that strengthens institutional sustainability and medium- and long-term planning. Their selection stems from accumulated experience in Labedu’s areas of work. The structure also includes the Advisory Board, which guides the organization’s strategic choices, and the Fiscal Council, which ensures transparency and integrity in the management of resources.

Leadership is female, collaborative, and intergenerational, with complementary roles across knowledge production, implementation, and strategic management. This model values each leader’s individual trajectory and academic background, recognizing that it is from this diversity that the ability to innovate is born without losing institutional identity.
